What Inspires Me

Back to Basics

I sometimes find myself getting caught up in "this book" or "that study" and inadvertently neglecting the importance of studying God's Word for myself.  Nothing reminds me of the importance of this than the song "The Word" by Sara Groves.  I went to college with Sara and had a few classes with her.  Whenever I came into chapel and saw her sitting at the piano, I knew we were about to hear something deep.  I've included the lyrics from "The Word".  In the end, His word is our only source of true hope and truth.
